Longer Ray5 - 20W laser engraver

The LONGER RAY5 20W is the third model in the RAY5 series and is aimed at users who require efficient cutting of thick materials in addition to high-precision engraving. With an optical output power of up to 20–22 W, modern FAC laser compression, and a generous working area of ​​approximately 400 × 400 mm, the RAY5 20W is ideal for workshop, maker, and production-related applications.

The extremely finely focused laser dot (approx. 0.08 × 0.08 mm) enables clean engravings with crisp edges despite high power. At the same time, the significantly increased laser power allows for cutting wood, plywood, and dark acrylic in considerably fewer passes. This is further enhanced by a maximum working speed of up to 10,000 mm/min and a stable 32-bit ESP32 controller.

Operation is possible either directly via the integrated 3.5-inch touchscreen or conveniently via Wi-Fi, USB, or TF card. Offline engraving is easily possible. LaserGRBL and LightBurn are supported for software integration (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Difference to RAY5 5W and 10W

The RAY5 20W represents a significant performance leap compared to the smaller versions:

• Compared to 5W:
  The 20W laser is no longer primarily an engraving tool, but a true cutting laser. Materials that can only be processed with a 5W laser to a very limited extent or in many passes can be cut significantly faster and more reliably with the 20W laser.
• Compared to 10W:
  While the 10W model already offers good cutting performance for workshop use, the 20W model enables the cutting of significantly thicker materials with even less processing time. The difference is particularly noticeable with plywood, solid wood, or batch production.

In short:

• 5W → Focus on engraving, light cutting
• 10W → Engraving + solid cutting for workshop applications
• 20W → Engraving + efficient cutting performance for demanding projects and series production
